No judgment please. I'm starting a makeup business and I've been doing my own face without primer for a decade now maybe lol since I got hands on my late mum's makeup bag. So do we need primer before applying makeup? So future clients won't get disappointed in me.

disappointed in me.
It's not strictly required, especially if the skin is already flawless and moist. but, it's highly recommended for a smoother, longer-lasting makeup application

Absolutely no judgment here, I think it's awesome that you've been experimenting since the days of your mom's makeup bag. I totally agree with the reply on this. While primer isn't a must-have, it definitely makes a difference in terms of grip, texture, and how long the makeup lasts, especially for clients with varying skin types. Are you considering adding a primer to your kit? If you are, are there any specific formulas you're looking at?

Yes, for professional results and client satisfaction, primer is generally essential. It creates a smooth, even canvas, which is crucial for foundation application
